Last week, Hankin Group received the 2019 West Whiteland Township Historic Preservation Award. This honor recognized Hankin’s restoration of Ivy Cottage, which is located on West Lincoln Highway, adjacent to the company’s Keva Flats apartment community. Hankin Group restored the cottage, originally built in 1799 by the Thomas Family, and converted the space into two apartments. The residential building is now referred to as The Chandler House, a homage to the name of the family that most recently resided in the notable household. Hankin Group credits Robert Powers & Associates for helping to maintain the historical integrity of the home, Al Walton and his team for insuring the flawless execution of the construction, Laura Maiale for her work on the stunning residential design, and the entire team at Hankin Group for their support and excitement about this unique project.
Exton, PA— September 24, 2019 — Eagleview Town Center’s popular event is back! Join a multitude of performing groups and crafters Sunday, October 6th for Falling Leaf Fest. The event is a day full of games, food, entertainment, and fun. Eagleview Town Center has also teamed up with Cure4Cam Childhood Cancer Foundation.
Regina Evans, co-founder of Cure4Cam, discusses the mission of their foundation, “We founded Cure4Cam to help with funding for childhood cancer research. When our son, Cameron, was being treated, we saw multiple adverse effects of current treatment on him and other patients. Although he did have a very aggressive form of leukemia, damage to his organs from the current therapies contributed to his ultimate passing. Cure4Cam’s mission is to help fund more targeted therapies which affect the cancer but not other cells in the body.” She also reflects on the history of this race, explaining, “Pedal4Cam, now in its 5th year, was started by a supporter who is an avid cyclist in order to reach out to a different group of people who were looking to support our charity in something other than a running race. Last year we added a 2 mile charity walk to again try to broaden the event.” The Ride ‘n’ Stride kicks off the event and check-in begins at 7:30AM.
After the Ride ‘n’ Stride, performances start promptly at 11:00AM. Over 45 crafters and performing groups will be in attendance. Restaurant Row, home to Al Pastor, Brickside, Bluefin Eagleview, Suburban Restaurant and Beer Garden, and Brightspot Café, will also be open. To learn more about this event, go to the Falling Leaf Fest and Pedal4Cam event pages on Facebook or email events@hankingroup.com.
